I don't know that I buy into the 'six degrees of separation' that supposedly connect everyone on this planet. It's plausible, and given the number of times I run into people I know in out-of-the-way places, even likely. Even I, a lowly tech nerd, am a mere five degrees from the Kevster himself. Kevin Bacon aside (mmm...bacon....), I have decided to expand on the premise of Movie Mania Monday and wrack your brains a little harder as the week wanes on. Keep them synapses firing, maybe fewer of them will die in a beer-related mishap over the weekend. Several weeks ago, my headline read:
"What is best in life? To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the women! Oh, and maybe a nice MLT - mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich, where the mutton is nice and lean and the tomato is ripe. They're so perky, I love that."
This was a spoken portmanteau, a combination of quotes from two movies. The speakers of the two halves of this quote have another little something in common, and your dual task today is to:
a) Identify the movies from each half of the quote and...AND
b) Identify the common link between them
Good times. If you have to use Gargle or some other search engine, be honest and say so in your answer. Much better if you don't have to do so, I don't think I'm being that obscure. (i.e. both films hired Steven 'Red' Sauce as their key grip...I wouldn't do that to you.)

As usual, I'm clueless. I gargled and figured out the quotes, but no clue how they're related.

As you know, quoting movies is kind of my thing. However, these mathmatical equation-type word problem thingamabobs are too complicated for my Cabernet-sodden brain to compute!
In my defense, I thought we were gonna talk about:
A. 6 Degrees of KB
B. Bacon
Either way, I'm Scrod.
I know the 2nd part of the quote (the bacon mutton thing) is from The Princess Bride. The first part, well, I'm at a loss. I've noticed you like Westerns (hence, Courtney nailing every quote), but that's not my forte, yo.
In short (too late!), I'll shut up now and drink more wine.
And yes, it's not even 8 PM. SO?
According to the commercials, it seems 90% of the world has herpes, making KB fair game.
Bev, love the Cab, should have cracked a bottle last night but I'm not exactly productive the day after a red wine fest. And who said anything about it not being 8 pm? I didn't know there was an unacceptable post-work time to be cab-sodden.
And no, part one is not from a western (though I do love me some westerns!) I figured if someone knows the movies, figuring out the link shouldn't be too difficult.
Okay...I have the two movies, Conan the Barbarian, (yes?) and of course, Princess Bride, the most quotable movie of all time! But what's the common link?

Both Arnold and Billy starred in films with Danny DeVito (Twins and Throw Momma From the Train). Lori found that both also acted in roles where they became pregnant (Junior and Rabbit Test).
