However, as you read this, it's Monday morning, and time for this week's contest. Remember the rules. First person to guess correctly the original source of the quote wins a prize - no movie characters quoting other movies. No Googling or asking Jeeves, either you know the quote or you don't. The prize is a Major Award and consists of the people's ovation and fame forever (and the title of Iron Quote-Guesser). Voici la quote de la semaine:
You know what the Mexicans say about the Pacific? They say it has no memory.

Great movie: The Shawshank Redemption
Yeah, what she said!
I am probably the only human in the world who never watches this movie the zillion times it's on TBS. I don't even think I've ever seen it all the way through. D'oh!
But I did read the SK short story, so that's gotta count for something. Right?
I haven't actually seen this one lately, but I get sucked into it every time it's on. Same with Hunt for Red October, Raising Arizona, Office Space and Fifth Element.
And yes, if you've read the story, you're one up on me, Bev. I've read the first twenty pages of 'The Stand', the only King I've ever picked up. Sad, since we have the whole of his writings in the house.
Have you seen my stapler? = LMFAO
One thing about Morgan Freeman:
If anyone has to tell me that I'm going to die tomorrow, and that it will be in a most unpleasant way, and that my body will be slowly, methodically and agonizingly dissected while I am fully awake and under no sedative or pain relief whatsoever, and that there will be mirrors everywhere so I have to watch, I want Morgan Freeman to deliver the news. His voice and delivery would actually make me look forward to it.
wv - hyrotr: the name of Toyota's new gas/electric helicopter
Ugh! I knew this one! And? I've seen this movie 12,000 times AND I've read the book. But what really freaked me out was that not long ago I said the exact same thing about Morgan Freeman as Stuart did. Not quite so lovingly detailed, but the same idea.
Stuart - That's more of an endorsement than anything I've ever seen or heard before. And any man who can just as easily play God, a convict, and Easy Reader, each with the same depth of character, deserves nothing less.
I liked the short story. The movie was great, but the story was so brilliant. Of course Stephen King is my hero, so of COURSE I'm going to love the story!
Walmart...the biggest reason I shop online! LOL!
