I know stuff. Lots of stuff, much of it useless, except when it's not.
So I've been fighting a compulsion today. I like to be helpful, even if I wasn't asked. If I know something, I want to share. However, it really isn't my place to answer questions posed by others on a third party's blog. Even if I know the answer.
Because I want to be helpful. And since nobody asks me questions directly, I have to resist the urge to answer questions that weren't asked of me.
Because I know stuff.

Why fight it? Everybody likes a know-it-all!
Wait, that's not right. Hmmm.
Eh, screw it - knowledge is power. Bring it.
Just give them some Stove Top Stuffing, and all will be forgiven.
Hmmm...."Stove Top Stuffing" sounds like fun, as long as you don't end up with hot cross buns as a result.
I've done it, then felt like a moron a couple days later. I'm also the person who is afraid to comment on blogs I've just started reading....too many memories of high school. Commenting on a new blog is like walking up to a stranger in school to make friends. I'm way too shy for that crap. :-)
I totally do a feature on Friday's usually called Friday's Follies and Fun Facts. You are more than welcome to guest post for me one Friday. Check out some of the archives and let me know if you are interested.
Bev, my middle-school years beg to differ...
Nice, Frank. Though I think it's probably better with a washer and an unbalanced load. Yes, I said load.
Nej, I'm the same way with blog commenting, but I talk to strangers all the time. I always feel like my comment needs to contribute something meaningful.
Adrienz, I'll take a look. I've been doing Fun Fact Friday for a while, but I ran short of time this week. I'll check out your posts, but I'd recommend going back and reading a few of my Fridays before you make that commitment...I recommend this and this, for starters. I wouldn't want to be a bad influence.
Meaningful, witty, or I'll even settle for just plain funny. All of which seem to escape me when it's time to comment. :-)
I'm rather proud of this one, too.
Wow. I made a comment on someone's FB page (not a mutual) friend, about using a washing machine in a non-specified manner. I think that a top-loader would work better, since it's easier to unbalance the load.
I think you're right, this doesn't seem like it would do anything. But what do I know?
Personally, I would love some Stove-Top Stuffing.
But I'm kind of kinky that way.
Shut up - it's past 9 and I've been **hickup** drinking.
Elliott, I think if you have knowledge to share than you should share it! Why keep all that fun trivia to yourself? :-)
Frank, I am constantly amazed and a bit frightened by the places you find (and link to in your comments) on the web! I think to myself, "How did he come across that one?!" and then I immediately answer myself with the thought, "You really don't want to know." :D
You're right, Daisy, you don't. :-)
It's odd, though, how most of these things I find together. Like the one I posted above, I saw just a day or two ago. Synchronicity is a wonderful thing, because I've got a terrible memory.
